Blessed is our God, always now and ever and unto ages of ages! Amen.
Glory to you, our God, glory to you.
O heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of truth, everywhere present and filling all things; Treasury of good things and Giver of life: Come and abide in us and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O good one.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal: have mercy on us. (3x)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
O, Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, cleanse us from our sins. Master, pardon our transgressions. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for your Name’s sake.
Lord, have mercy. (3x)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Our Father, in heaven, hallowed be your Name; your kingdom come; your will be done on earth, as in heaven. Give us this day the bread of Life; and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us; save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, are yours: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Lord, have mercy. (12x)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: both now and for ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Come, let us worship God, our King, and bow down before him.
Come, let us worship Christ God, our King, and bow down before him.
Come, let us worship Christ, our King and our God, and bow down before him.
Psalm 83 (84)
How lovely are your dwellings, Lord God of power and might! My soul yearns and pines with longing for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh ring out their joy to the living God!
Even the sparrow finds a house, and the swallow, a nest for her young: near your altars, O Lord of power and might, O my king and my God! Happy are they who live in your house; they sing your praises all day long.
Happy the pilgrims who find their strength in you, who set their hearts on reaching you. Passing through the valley of the balsam trees they make it a place of blessing, as if the autumn rains had showered it; from there they go from place to place, soon to stand before the God of gods on Sion.
O Lord God of power and might! Hear my prayer! Lend an ear to me, God of Jacob! Turn your eyes, O God, our sovereign! Look on the face of the one you have anointed!
One day in your courts have I preferred to a thousand somewhere else, the threshold of the house of my God to the tent of the wicked. For the Lord God will sustain us and help us! He will show us his favor, his glory. The Lord will never refuse anything to those who walk in innocence. O Lord of power and might! Happy the man who trusts in you!
Psalm 84 (85)
With your favor, Lord, grace your own land, turn the tide of Jacob’s fortune. Forgive your people their guilt; do away with all trace of their sins. Turn away your wrath; master the heat of your anger.
Revive us, O God of our salvation; put an end to your resentment against us. Must your anger with us last forever? Will it never end?
Will you not restore us to life, that your people may rejoice in you? Let us see your loving kindness, Lord; give us your saving help.
Let me reveal what the Lord himself has to say: His voice is one that speaks peace: peace for his people, for his friends, for those who turn to him in their hearts. His help is close at hand for those who revere him, and his glory shall dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth will meet; justice and peace will embrace. Faithfulness shall spring forth from the earth, and justice shall look down from the heavens.
The Lord will give us prosperity, and the earth will yield its fruit. Justice shall go forth before him, and peace shall follow in his footsteps.
Psalm 85 (86)
Lend an ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and miserable! Look after my soul, for I am your friend; save your servant, O my God, for I trust in you. Pity me, O sovereign Lord, for I cry to you all day long!
Give joy to your servant, for to you, Lord, do I lift my soul! Lord, you are forgiving and good, full of love for all who call on you.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; attend to the sound of my voice. The day of my distress I call on you; if only you would answer me, O Lord!
Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord, nor can their works compare with yours. If you act, all nations will come to adore you, O Lord, to glorify your name, for you are great and you work wonders, O you who alone are God!
Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; teach my heart to revere your name. With all my heart will I praise you, Lord my God! I will glorify your name, O eternal one!
For great is your mercy toward me, O most high! You have rescued my soul from the depths of the grave! O God the proud rise up to attack me; ruthless men hunt down my soul! Never do they give any thought to you!
But you, O Lord, God of tenderness and mercy, slow to anger, full of love and faithfulness, turn to me and pity me: Give triumph to your servant, to your faithful son, victory.
Show me proof of your favor, O good one, that my foes may see and be shamed. O, that you yourself would help and console me, O Lord!
(And again
Show me proof of your favor, O good one, that my foes may see and be shamed. O, that you yourself would help and console me, O Lord!
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: both now and for ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia. Glory to you, O God (x3 – with three prostrations).
Then one Kathisma of the Psalter with three prostrations after each Antiphon.
Christ our God, who at the ninth hour tasted death in the flesh for our sakes, slay our fleshly will and save us.
And as we repeat it we make a prostration to the ground, and likewise at the following two Verses.
O Lord, let my cry reach you! Let your word endow me with perception, as you promised.
Christ our God, who at the ninth hour tasted death in the flesh for our sakes, slay our fleshly will and save us.
Let my plea reach you; be true to your word and save me.
Christ our God, who at the ninth hour tasted death in the flesh for our sakes, slay our fleshly will and save us.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: both now and for ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
O Good one, born of a Virgin for our sakes and who endured crucifixion, who despoiled death by death and as God revealed resurrection, do not despise those whom you fashioned with your own hand; show your love for mankind, O Merciful; accept the Theotokos who bore you, as she intercedes for us, and save a people in despair, O Saviour.
For your holy name’s sake do not finally reject us, do not annul your covenant, do not take your mercy from us for the sake of Abraham, your beloved, and for the sake of Isaac, your servant, and Israel, your holy one.
Amen.
The Thief seeing the prince of life hanging on the Cross, said: If he who is crucified with us were not God incarnate, the sun would not have hidden its rays, nor would the shaken earth be quaking. But you who bear all things, Remember me, Lord, in your kingdom.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
Between two thieves your Cross became the scales of justice: the one was dragged down to hell by the weight of his blasphemy, but the other lightened of his faults was raised to the knowledge of the things of God. Christ God, glory to you.
now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Seeing the Lamb and Shepherd and Saviour of the world on the Cross, she who bore Him said weeping: The world rejoices, for it receives redemption; but my inward parts burn as I see your crucifixion, which you endure for all mankind, O my Son and my God.
Lord, have mercy (x40).
O good God, so very rich in patience and mercy, who are adored and praised at all times and at every moment in heaven and on earth! You love the just and spare the sinner, inviting all to salvation with the promise of the good things to come! O Lord, accept our prayer at this time, and direct our lives according to your commandments. Sanctify our souls and bodies. Set straight our reasoning, purify and sober our understanding, and deliver us from every affliction, from every evil and illness. Surround us with your holy angels as with a rampart, that, guided and protected by their defense, we may reach unity in faith and the knowledge of your inaccessible glory. For blessed are you unto ages of ages. Amen.
Lord, have mercy (x3).
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: both now and for ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
You are more honourable than the cherubim, beyond compare more glorious than the seraphim! In Virginity you gave birth to God, the word: O you who are truly Theotokos, we extol you!
Priest: May God take pity on us and bless us, show the light of his countenance on us and have mercy on us.
O Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust for power and idle talk. (Prostration.)
But give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to your servant. (Prostration.)
Yea, O Lord and King, grant me that I may see my own faults and not judge my brothers and sisters. Blessed are you unto ages of ages. Amen (Prostration.)
God be merciful to me, a sinner. (12x.)

Troparion Tone 8
As the bountiful harvest of Your sowing of salvation,
the lands of North and South America offer to You, O Lord,
all the saints who have shone forth in them.
By their prayers keep the Church and our land in abiding peace
through the Theotokos, O most Merciful One!
Troparion Tone 4
When you appeared in the New World, O Theotokos,
you fixed your image on Juan Diego’s rose laden tilma.
All the poor, hungry, and oppressed seek you, Lady of Guadalupe.
We gaze upon your miraculous icon and find hope,
crying out to your Son concealed in your womb:
Hear our plea for justice, O most merciful Lord.

Today the choir of Saints who were pleasing to God
in the lands of North and South America
stands before us in the Church and invisibly prays to God for us.
With them the Angels glorify Him,
and all the Saints of the Church of Christ keep festival with them;
and together they all pray for us to the Pre-eternal God.
Glory…
Kontakion of the Theotokos
Kontakion Tone 7
No longer shall the New World lie wounded in useless blood sacrifice,
for she who is clothed with the sun has revealed the Son to us.
O Mother of the Americas, imprint His Name upon our hearts,
just as you wove your image into the cactus cloth.
Teach your children to cry out:
O Christ God, our hope, glory to you.
Both now…
O Protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, O mediation unto the Creator unfailing, disdain not the suppliant voices of sinners; but be thou quick, O good one, to help us who in faith cry unto thee: Hasten to intercession and speed thou to make supplication, thou who dost ever protect, O Theotokos, them that honor thee.
Trisagion:

The Cherubim hymn
Choir: Let us who mystically represent the Cherubim and chant the thrice-holy hymn unto the life-giving Trinity, now lay aside all earthly cares.
That we may receive the King of all who cometh invisibly upborne by the angelic hosts. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
The symbol of faith
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, born of the Father before all ages: light of light, true God of true God, begotten, not made, of one essence with the Father, through whom all things came into being. For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven and became incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man: he was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the scriptures; and he ascended into heaven and sits at the right of the Father, and he will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead; of his kingdom there shall be no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father, who is worshipped and glorified with the Father and the Son, who spoke through the prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We confess one baptism for the remission of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen.
How truly right it is to honour your good fortune, O Theotokos, for you are the supremely blessed and blameless mother of our God! You are more honourable than the cherubim, beyond compare more glorious than the seraphim! In Virginity you gave birth to God, the word: O you who are truly Theotokos, we extol you!
Remit, forgive, pardon, O God, our offences, willing and unwilling, in deed and in word, in knowledge and in ignorance, of the day and of the night, in mind and in thought; pardon them all, as you are good and love mankind.
The Lord’s Prayer

You were transfigured on the mountain, Christ God, and your disciples saw your glory, as far as they were able; so that when they saw you crucified, they might understand that your Passion was voluntary, and proclaim to the world that you are truly the brightness of the Father.

Prophet of God and Forerunner of grace, having found your Head, as a most sacred rose, we ever receive gifts of healing; for once again, as of old, you are proclaiming repentance.
On Wednesday and Friday. Of the Cross. 4th Tone.
Lifted up on the Cross of your own will, grant your mercies, O Christ God, to the new commonwealth called by your name. Make your faithful people glad by your power, giving them victory over their enemies. May they have your help in battle, a weapon of peace, an invincible trophy.
On Thursday. Of the Apostles. 2nd Tone.
You have taken, Lord, the sure, the God-inspired heralds, the high peak of your Disciples, for the enjoyment of your good things and for repose; for you accepted above every offering their toils and their death, you who alone know what is in the heart.
And of Saint Nicholas. 3rd Tone.
In Myra, holy one, you were proved a true priest, for you fulfilled, venerable Father, the gospel of Christ, you laid down your life for you people, you saved the innocent from death; therefore you have been hallowed as a great initiate of God’s grace.

Theotokion. Tone 2.
Protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, unfailing mediation with the Maker, do not despise the voices of us sinners as we pray; but, in your love, be quick to help us who cry to you with faith: Hasten to intercede, make speed to entreat, O Mother of God, for you ever protect those who honour you.

God be merciful to me, a sinner. (12x.)
O Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust for power and idle talk. But give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to your servant. Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal: have mercy on us. (3x)
O, Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, cleanse us from our sins. Master, pardon our transgressions. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for your Name’s sake.
Master, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, who have long endured our transgressions, and brought us to this hour in which hanging on the life-giving tree you showed the good Thief the way into Paradise and destroyed death by death, have mercy also on us sinners and your unworthy servants. For we have sinned and trespassed and are not worthy to raise our eyes and look on the height of heaven; because we have abandoned the way of your justice and walked in the will of our hearts. But we implore your unbounded goodness: spare us, O Lord, according to the multitude of your mercy, and save us for your holy name’s sake, for our days have been wasted in vanity. Rescue us from the hand of our opponent, forgive us our sins, slay our carnal will, that we, having put off the old man, may put on the new, and live for you, our Master and benefactor; and that thus following your precepts we may reach eternal rest, where those who rejoice have their dwelling. For you are the true joy and gladness of those who love you, Christ our God, and to you we give glory, together with your Father who has no beginning, and your all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and always and to ages of ages. Amen.
